The love and stress of Weddings!! I have recently got married to my long term partner Greg, we met many years ago and decided 2023 was the time to tie the knot. I knew planning a wedding wouldn’t be cheap or easy, I loved the idea of a summer wedding but I honestly didn’t know the stress it would cause.
The Fun parts
All the fun parts of planning a wedding can feel amazing, picking the colour scheme, locations and the dress. I went dress shopping and I really couldn’t decided what I really wanted in a dress, I knew everyone expected this big show dress but I tried on many styles. The princess gown was definitely for me full of details, this was one of the most fun parts of planning the wedding.
We couldn’t decide what kind of location at first we looked at all sorts, church, castles, golf courses, clock barns. In the end we decided on a church wedding but a golf course reception. Overton church is absolutely stunning in the village setting and its our home location, We then chose Sandford Springs in Kingsclere its a beautiful golf course with perfect picture grounds that you can use for a wonderful scenery pictures.
The mini wedding stress you forget
The mini stressful bits I think most couples don’t realize, The menu we ended up paying out for a more adverse menu so that our guest could select what they wanted. We worried if we picked one meal that people may not like it or couldn’t eat it so we made this decision but not lightly. The guest list we really did not think this would be an issue and it turns out to be more stressful than we realized, Who do we invite? But if we invite so and so you have to include such and such. These 2 people don’t get on, Oh no what will we do. In the end we decided to have those there that we love and had supported us in our relationship since it started.

Each supplier has been truly amazing, taking a lot of stress away from us, Martin lake Supplied our DJ/Entertainment, The wedding Tree supplied our beautiful trees to decorate the venue, Sandford and Overton church made things so simple for us. Paul brewer was an amazing photographer guided us in what to-do and what pictures to take. EventsforU Came in and set up our chairs/Chair covers and sashes, as a last minute booking they managed to fit us in and made the room look stunning.
